Proofreading the Typeset Index

As part of the cost of indexing I am happy to proofread the typeset index. This is useful if the index is set in more than two columns and as a result there are many turnover lines which may not be correctly indented. If the typeset index is emailed to me as a PDF, the process can be very fast as I can check it and respond within a couple of hours.

Proofreading the Document

During my thorough reading of the text, any typographical or other errors I detect are listed. This can be particularly useful for co-authored books where authors in reference sections can be differently cited. In addition, there are certain errors that may not be found during the normal proofreading process. I make a list of these along with any queries I may have about the text.

Proofreading qualifications

I have completed the diploma course 'Professional Proofreading and Editing' with Maple Academy.
